Styled Shoot: Vintage Garden Fairytale

It’s no surprise that one of the most popular and most requested styles for weddings over the past couple of years has been all things vintage. It lends an elegant and dreamt yet totally effortless feeling which can be adapted to many color schemes, venues and interpretations. This week’s vintage styled shoot has some of the loveliest florals and styling from Rebecca Shepherd Floral Design and we were delighted to have been a part of its creation. Set in a garden that felt like it had been plucked straight out of a Jane Austen book, everything from the table settings to the fashion was visual eye candy.
We brought our paper expertise to the table by creating a lush blue and white watercolor invitation suite that evoked vintage lace but with a bit of an unexpected twist. Just like in our Wonders of Watercolor article about watercolor painting, here’s another fresh and creative way of infusing a unique look and feel into an invitation suite without sacrificing elegance and timelessness. We even extended the look to include dangling escort cards and wood veneer table and escort cards!
The bride and groom, were dressed in elegant Lazaro, Rebecca Schoneveld, and Louis Purple all of which were captured by talented photographer Jonathan Young. A beautiful pair of Jimmy Choo antique silver/gold pumps finished the look with flair and to top it all off, as the day came to a close, the couple was driven away in a vintage blue Chevrolet. It could not have been more perfect or serendipitous.
